Bart de Vries

Bart is a physiotherapist with over 15 years of experience and a special interest in low back pain. His approach is friendly, thoughtful, and deeply personalised, taking into account the whole person, not just the injury. Whether you’re dealing with a new niggle or a long-standing issue, Bart tailors each treatment using the latest clinical research, practical strategies, and what matters most to you.
He’s worked with everyone from Olympic athletes and professional sports teams to dancers, fighters, and weekend golfers, treating all body areas. Bart is certified in the McKenzie Method (MDT), serves on the New Zealand Committee for the McKenzie Institute International, and brings a mix of hands-on care, movement rehab, and clear education to every session.
You’ll find Bart in clinic two days a week at Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club, and just as often out playing the course. When he’s not helping people get back to what they love, he’s an Edmund Hillary fellow and CEO of Limber Office, designing solutions to reduce back pain and help the world move more at work, including what UC Berkeley professors call “the world’s healthiest desks.”
To celebrate his opening, he is offering no ($0) ACC surcharge for initial appointments until the end of June, which is perfect if you have been putting off having something checked out. Additionally, he can assist you in lodging an ACC claim.

How do I know if my injury is covered by ACC?
ACC usually covers injuries caused by an accident, such as a fall, impact, sudden strain or work-related incident. It generally won’t cover gradual wear and tear or non-injury-related pain (although there are some exceptions).
If you’re unsure, don’t worry. We can help assess your situation during your appointment and guide you through lodging a claim if it looks eligible.
